Renovations Pt.2

The renovating continues: drywall mudding, vacuuming, drywall sanding, vacuuming (then more vacuuming when it settles again)…one of the biggest projects was the discovery of the original “starburst” textured glass at the front of the shop – not only was it hidden beneath a wall (inside) and a sign (outside) some person of very poor taste painted over it – on the textured side! The paint was a few layers thick, but it’s finally starting to look like glass again after many hours of work (and a few more to go)! We are using a very high quality, biodegradable paint stripper, called (appropriately) Circa 1850 Soft Strip – highly recommended and very effective.

Here are a selection of photos of the work thus far…painting is next!
